Charities We Have Supported

Rainbow Rescue Telford was set up in 2016 to help small animals in need in Telford, Shropshire. To date they have helped hundreds of Guinea Pigs, Cats and Rabbits. They have also helped Chinchillas, Ferrets, Mice, and other small creatures. They now operate on a much smaller scale after swapping to a foster carer system during covid. This now enables them to fundraise to help other local animal rescues.

Creature Comforts Rescue Centre is a family run Animal Rescue that receives no funding at all. They are based in Powys, Mid-Wales, but also cover Shropshire. They rescue all kinds of animals, from cats and dogs to monkeys, meerkats, peacocks, and pot-bellied pigs!

Jelly Exotics work to provide "A Better Life for Exotic Pets". They rescue, rehabilitate and rehome exotic animals, such as snakes, geckoes, bearded dragons, and tortoises. Their organisation runs solely off donations, and is volunteer led.

Hilbrae Kennels is a family run business which rescues all of the stray dogs from the whole of Shropshire. They hold them until their original owners can be found or, if not, until new homes can be found for them.

Cuan Wildlife Rescue Centre is based in Much Wenlock, Shropshire and are dedicated to treating sick, injured and orphaned wild animals and returning them back to the wild.

Team Poundie, founded in 2016, is based in Telford, Shropshire and are dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming dogs in need. They started out by helping dogs in pounds hence their name! They now offer nationwide support.

Shropshire Cat Rescue is one of the UK's largest Regional Cat Rescue and Re-homing Centres and is based in Shrewsbury. The charity has been re-homing rescued and unwanted cats and kittens for over 21 years. In that time they have looked after over 8,000 cats.

Sleapy Cat Rescue is a volunteer lead cat rescue that are completely self funded, with every penny made at events or from donations going to cats and kittens in need.

Next Steps Cat Rescue is a foster-based rescue centre in Telford, Shropshire. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome stray & unwanted cats and kittens from all over Shropshire. All cats receive neutering, microchipping, full health check, up to date flea and worm treatment and first vaccination, therefore they always need funds due to huge vet, food and care bills.

Purrfectly Feral is a Cat Rescue based near the Powys/Shropshire border, set up by Shelley Jones in early 2022. She was asked to help a family of feral cats in a nearby village, she took in all 4 and helped them and that was just the start. Now, 4 years later, there are over 100 cats in her care, most of which are feral or stray.
